i decided something neon drivers have the best diaries ever. The car is a piece of shit but it is cute as hell.
I drive a newly redesigned 2002 model. it's champagne or cappachino or something along that line. and i'm not saying it's redsigned because it's "second generation." No sir. It's redesigned because my car got into a brawl with a west texas hail storm and promptly get it's ass kicked all over the hospital parking lot. Two windshields and thousands dollars of later it looks the same. The only orginal piece of cheap aluminum sheet metal is the driver side door. However that is the proud owner of a scrape down the door after it got into a pissing contest with what I assume to be some huge truck.
I should have gotten the nissan frontier sport edition like my little butch side so craved. but no i wanted a little neon cause they are so adorable. it's the only car that smiles. now that i think about it it's more like a smirk because it knows you were foolish enough to fall head over in heals with it.
it's cranky. it's so called aerodynamic design just means that the rain will either rush down the front or back windshield depending on the direction you are driving. it doesn't like rain it doesn't like wind. and it really hates them both.
it always seems to make noise. there have been times when i thought about spraying some of proventil down the gas thing when i am filling up.
and did i mention gas??? for a small sized so called economy car it isn't the best little gas keeper. in fact i belive it to be a gas guzzling alcoholic. the little sucker has a 12 gallon tank.
and i am good neon owner. it gets it oil changed every 3,000 miles. the tires rotated and because nails and neons don't get along either, it has a new tire. i wash it. i wax it. i even vacuum it.
and it's stlyish with it matchbox 20 window decal and the HRC sticker.
but sometimes i don't think it loves me
